What you are buying

A FOUNDATION digital book personalized for your family: an illustrated guide for parents covering every stage from before birth to 18, with your family’s names in the text and, if you upload photos, illustrations of your family.

You receive two files: an illustrated PDF for reading on screen or printing at home, and an EPUB edition for e-reader apps. You need a device or app that can open PDF and EPUB files. E-reader apps may lay out the EPUB edition differently from the PDF.

A printed copy, an app, a subscription, future editions or updates, and artistic revision rounds are not included.

If you upload photos, your family’s illustrations are created with an AI image model using those photos as references, then checked by our team before delivery. They are artistic interpretations in the book’s illustrated style, not photographic portraits. If you choose not to upload photos, your book uses our ready-made illustrated family with your names and dedication.

Price, tax and payment

The price is US$79.99 plus applicable tax. Checkout shows the tax and the total, in US dollars, before you pay. If your card is in another currency, your card issuer may add its own conversion rate or foreign transaction fee, which we do not control or receive.

Payment is taken by card through Stripe when you place your order. We never see or store your full card number.

We currently sell to customers with a billing address in the United States and Canada.

Your family details and photos

Your book is made from the details you approve. Before you order, check the names, the people included, the photos, the illustration choice and the dedication.

Only upload photos you have the right to use, of people and pets you have permission to include. Uploading a photo lets us use it to create, review, deliver and support your book, as described in our privacy notice.

Delivery

We aim to deliver your book within 48 hours after both of these are true: your payment is confirmed, and your family details are complete and usable. Details are complete and usable when every required name is filled in, and each person in your edition has at least one clear, good-quality photo with their face fully visible and nothing covering it (such as sunglasses or a hat, unless you want that item in every illustration).

If something is missing or cannot be used, we will email you to say what we need. The 48 hours begin when we have it; paying does not start the clock on its own.

If we cannot deliver within 48 hours, including because we find a problem with a photo after the 48 hours have started, we will tell you before that time runs out, give you a new estimate and let you choose whether to wait or cancel for a full refund.

We deliver by email with private download links to your PDF and EPUB. Each link works for 30 days. You can ask us for new links for 12 months after delivery. Please save both files: after that period, we may no longer have them. Your links are personal to you, so please keep them private.

We email you a copy of these terms with your order confirmation.

Corrections, cancellations and refunds

Our corrections, cancellations and refunds policy is part of these terms. In short: you can cancel for a full refund before production begins, we fix mistakes we make at no charge, and we refund you if we cannot deliver the book we promised.

Using your book

Your book is for personal, non-commercial use by you and your family. You may keep copies on your devices, share them with family members and print copies at home. Please do not sell, publish or post it publicly.

Your photos remain yours. Apart from the photos and details you provide, the book’s text, design and artwork belong to us or our licensors.

Our responsibility to you

We make and deliver your book with reasonable care and skill. If something is wrong, our refund policy explains what we will do. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.

Except where the law does not allow it, our total liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Changes and governing law

The version of these terms shown when you place your order applies to that order, and we keep a record of which version you accepted.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. As a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the place you live and can bring a claim in your local courts.
