What the waitlist stores

When you join, we store your email address, the date you joined and which waitlist form you used. For ongoing subscriptions, we record your explicit opt-in, its timestamp, source, wording and copy version, email confirmation and any unsubscribe request. We also record acknowledgment email processing and provider acceptance so a saved signup can be recovered if sending fails. This form does not request your child’s name, family photographs or book personalization details.

How your address is used

If you check the opt-in box and confirm your email, we may send FOUNDATION launch emails, parenting insights and product updates from THIS CHILDHOOD. Existing launch-only signups do not become ongoing subscribers automatically. Joining does not purchase a book or reserve a queue position.

Services and access

Vercel hosts this website, Supabase stores the waitlist and Resend processes acknowledgment email. These services process the information needed to provide their services, including operational and security records. The signup list is not available to public visitors.

The form uses a short-lived request limit to reduce abuse. The website does not include an advertising or analytics tracking SDK.

Retention and removal

We keep your email address and subscription records while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop these emails and retain your address, unsubscribe status, consent history and related delivery records to respect your choice and prevent accidental re-enrolment. Unconfirmed requests and earlier launch-only signups remain on file but are not active ongoing subscriptions; confirmation links expire after seven days. Unsubscribing or a link expiring does not automatically delete these records. You can contact thischildhoodco@gmail.com to request deletion or ask what we retain. We assess deletion requests individually and may retain records needed to honor an unsubscribe request or meet legal obligations. Our service providers may retain operational records and backups under their own retention schedules.

Use the unsubscribe link in our emails to stop these messages. Opening the link shows a confirmation button; pressing it records your unsubscribe request immediately. Rejoining requires a new opt-in and email confirmation. An earlier unsubscribe link continues to work after you rejoin.
